In order to achieve it we combine the innovative game „Thinking on the Edge” and strategic thinking skills. Strategic thinking is usually associated with creating a strategy. We, however, use it to improve cooperation, as strategic thinking skills open your mind and opens you to others.
The mechanics of the “Thinking on the edge” game
During the game teams achieve their particular goals, but most of all they need to form a Coalition in order to beat the Threat (played by one of our trainers).
The power of this training lies in a basic mechanism of unity against outside threat. In such a situation even people who don’t trust each other and have problems cooperating, open up and work together to beat the Threat.
Development of Strategic Thinking Skills
Our approach to facilitating cooperation is completely novel as we use strategic thinking skills. We’ve noticed that realizing one’s thinking bias and using skills which overcome it leads to better understanding, quality of discussion and quality of decisions a team makes. This results in increased effectiveness and quality of cooperation. Feedback from our participants shows that it’s a fascinating process which leads to great results.
What skills will be learned in order to improve cooperation and increase the level of strategic thinking
Problem diagnosis and team’s potential
During a training under pressure generated by the game surface real-life problems, which inhibit team’s cooperation. Such a situation is diagnostic for the following areas:
- Willingness to share resources.
- Mutual understanding.
- Solving business problems.
During our training participants with the help of trainers diagnose key factors which block cooperation, cause tensions in team and limit team’s effectiveness. We agree on how to solve them and propose future actions in order to avoid them.
